King Bio Recalls 32 Children’s Medicines Due To Possible Microbial Contamination

Health

If your children have been prescribed with medicines manufactured by King Bio, you have to be more careful now. The company has issued a voluntary recall of 32 children’s medicine from the market. As to the reason why, King Bio says that the medicines have a chance of potential microbial contamination. It should be noted that the recalled medicines from King Bio are quite common across the nation. Most of them are made for common issues like cold, fever and tummy aches. This factor actually increases the risk of the potential threat here. As said, King Bio products are sold nationwide as well.

In the official FDA page of the announcement, King Bio says that “A small percentage of our products produced between 08/01/2017 and 04/2018 have tested positive for microbial contamination. Out of an abundance of caution, we are recalling the products and lot numbers below.” Customers will be able to find the full list of recalled products in the website. The company also adds that the use of potentially microbial contaminated medicines would result in many issues, such as infections and life-threatening issues. These may also require medical intervention upon diagnosis or in the future.

The voluntary recall has been made in for the ‘abundance of caution’. King Bio has not received any report of issues due to the use of products. The real problem is the common nature of all medicines. Apart from the prescribed ones, King Bio products are popular among users when it comes to children’s issues like headache, tummy pain, fever etc. There are also other affected medicines like Appetite Enhance. If you already have purchased medicines that are produced in the abovementioned period, you can contact King Bio for returns or refund. In any case, the medicines should not be used, partially or fully.
