Star Wars fans have nothing to complain about in the coming days and weeks, Disney + will receive a lot of Star Wars content. From May 4, it is really a Star Wars day, for fans outside the Netherlands.
On May 4 it is a holiday for many Star Wars fans, Star Wars Day! That date was chosen because they pronounce that date in English as ‘May the Fourth’ and that already resembles the famous Star Wars quote ‘may the Force (be with you)’.
The latest Star Wars movie ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ can be seen on Disney + from May 5, so all nine Star Wars films from The Skywalker Saga will soon be available on Disney +. About 5 months ago the film was still showing Dutch and foreign cinemas, yet they should have put the film of mine on the streaming service before.
For the past few months, one episode of the last season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been put on Disney + every week, and the last episode will go online on 4/5 May. Everyone is looking forward to it en masse, and the series has received a lot of positive reactions.
There will also be the 8-part Mandalorian documentary on Disney + on 4/5 May, check out our article about what you can see there. We’re going to get even more Baby Yoda content from Disney + anyway, so get ready for that.
In the Netherlands, May 4 is the day we hold the National Remembrance Day, not a good day to be enthusiastic about wars in space, but a day to commemorate war victims from all over the world.
We therefore have to wait one day before we can enjoy the new Star Wars content. Respect for Disney that they made this choice.
