The announcement was verified by CNBC.
Anthropic is the company behind Claude 2, a chatbot competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which is used by companies such as Slack, Notion, and Quora.
The company was established in 2021. It, along with Google, received funds from Salesforce and Zoom and was assessed in the spring of this year at $4.1 billion.
Claude 2 has the ability to synthesize up to 75,000 words, which is the length of the book. Users can type in massive data sets and request summary reports in the form of letters, memos, or other ChatGPT, in contrast, is capable of handling around 3000 words.
Research conducted by Arthur AI, a machine monitoring platform for learning, discovered that the Claude 2 is the most trustworthy chatbot when it comes to “self-awareness,” which means being able to accurately measure what it is aware of and doesn’t, and only answering questions. The chatbot I used had training data.
On April 1, Google put $300 million into the business and acquired an interest of $10. This was the month Anthropic was one of four companies invited to attend a gathering in the White House to discuss responsible AI development with Vice President Kamala Harris.
